About the artist
Gabriela Casineanu is a Romanian-Canadian emerging artist, grant recipient of Ontario Arts Council, expressing her creativity through fine art photography, painting and wearable art. She is represented by Norman Felix Gallery, Toronto.
Gabriela is a self-taught artist, and was mentored by Mikel Mata in the mentoring program of Le Laboratoire d’Art (LeLabo.ca). Coming from a background of Coaching (ThoughtsDesigner.com), Engineering, IT and Quality Assurance, her artistic style often combines concepts and techniques from various field, and is continually evolving.
After applying coaching to herself, her creativity got an unexpected boost. Once she allowed her
artistic side to be expressed through photography, other creative work unfolded: photo-coaching albums, wearable art, and intuitive painting.

Attracted by nature, Gabriela Casineanu captures in her photography those moments that inspire her, which give her the force to overcome life challenges. Encouraged by the positive effect of her photography, she hopes that her fine art photography will reconnect people with nature, as a source of inspiration, relaxation and stress release.
By developing her intuition through coaching and a daily meditation practice, she became curious about the visual aspect of words or phrases. That’s how her intuitive painting came to light: by holding a word or phrase in her mind, she intuitively chooses the paint colors and allows
her fingers be guided by the energy of that word/ phase to paint a visual representation.
She started her wearable art line with necklaces that suit different outfits and occasions after noticing how much time it took to find something that fits her style. Her one of a kind jewelry are handmade from semiprecious stones of irregular shapes, and non-tarnished Silver wire
molded to suit those shapes. Passionate about wearable art, she also paints 100% silk scarves that could add an elegant artistic touch to any women outfit.
